Public libraries in the Southern Tier region welcome more that one million visits every year! Donations support important programs offered by local libraries by helping them expand services.
Right from the beginning, the Foundation awarded grants directly to libraries in the Southern Tier region. Since 2013 grants have helped fund:
- Adventure passes loaned to families for regional museums, parks, and attractions
- New services like gaming and virtual reality equipment for young people
- Wide-ranging programs on painting, meditation, gardening, storytelling and more
- Books and iPads and Legos and all sorts of library materials
- Furniture for a parent’s area in the children’s room
- Outdoor games for children of all ages
